Grid Kid Day in Othello

Saturday, November 2nd will be Grid Kid Day held at the Othello High School Football Field.
Game times are as follows:
Royal Gold 3/4th will play Othello Huskies at 11 a.m.
Royal Black 3/4th will play Connell Purple at 4 p.m.
Royal Gold 5/6th will play Othello Tigers at 5:15 p.m.
Royal Black 5/6th will play Warden at 6:30 p.m.


Gear will be turned in after these games! Please bring a change of clothes.  If you are unable to make it to the games, gear can be turned in after school on Tuesday, November 5th.  The gear trailer will be by the practice fields.  

5/6th Black Team Game Time Change

The 5/6th grade black team has a slight game time change for their game this Saturday, October 26th. They will play in Mattawa at 9 a.m. And the 3/4th grade team will play immediately afterwards.

S.O.S.

I have come to grips with the fact that the banquet is not going to go away, nor is it going to do everything itself.  So I am in need of a little help.  I need 4-5 helpers in two sessions.  We will do a 6-7:30 p.m. (or when the next game starts) and from 7:30 (or next game time)- till it's over.  If there is any that would like to help clean up afterwards, that would be appreciated!  I also need TWO more big water coolers, like the big Gatorade coolers.  One to hold lemonade and another, that if possible be brought with hot hot water for hot cocoa.  I will mix the hot cocoa in my cooler, but cocoa is always the first drink to run out and so I just need some back-up hot water.  I know that many of you have volunteered, and if you still want to help, let me know the specific time that works with your player's schedule.  Send me a text or give me a call, Jen 208-313-3876.  Thanks!!!!!!

Black and Gold Game

The annual Black and Gold Games will be held this Saturday, October 19th at the High School Football field.  The games will kick off at 6:30 with the 3rd and 4th graders, and the 5th and 6th grade teams will immediately follow.  The Hot Dog Roast will be held behind the stadium and will begin at 5 (maybe 5:30?) and go until everyone is fed. Families will be 5$, individuals 1$, and players eat free.  If anyone is just dying to help, please let Brandon or Jen know! Black Teams Game Time Change

Due to the Othello fair, game times for BLACK TEAMS ONLY have been moved up ONE HOUR.  The 3rd and 4th grade black will play at 9 a.m. And 5th and 6th grade black at 10 a.m. Please let others know of this change! Coaches will tell players at practice.  Gold team games are as scheduled.

Slight Schedule Change

I warned you all to write the schedule down in pencil.  All the games played AT MATTAWA will have the 3rd and 4th grade teams play first and then will be followed by the 5th and 6th grade team.  This is instead of having both teams play at the same time.  Thanks!

The Teams and 2013 schedule had been posted.  Click on the pages at the top.  Please keep in mind that both of these are subject to change! Write it down in pencil! As new players register, slight changes may be needed to keep teams balanced.  Thanks for your understanding, we are just trying to make this the best experience possible for all the players. If I'm missing a player PLEASE let me know!

Oh what a difference one little checked box can make.  I apologize for any inconveniences, but the link for registration forms is hopefully working now.
I also made a mistake on the first practice date.  It will be FRIDAY, AUGUST 30th after the players register, NOT Friday the 29th.

Football is in the air!

It's that time of the year again to get going on Grid Kids Football! We are so excited to see all of the kids again and love the number of kids that are venturing out to try football.  Coaches will be in the schools to hand out registration forms on Thursday, August 29th. Registration will begin Friday, August 30th and Tuesday, September 3rd (Monday is Labor Day and there will be no school) at 3 p.m. on the East playground of Red Rock Elementary School. FIRST practice will begin on Friday, August 30th.  Draft will be held after practice on September 3rd and games begin on Saturday, September 7.  Cost is $50/player and each additional sibling is $25.  Payment MUST be made in full before first game in order to receive game jersey, UNLESS prior arrangements are made.
